First Day of 7th Grade

Today was the first day for Kayla to start 7th grade. Wow! I can't believe I have a 7th grader already. I am so blessed and fortunate that she can be homeschooled (especially in middle school!!). She is using all new curriculum this year. So far she loves all of it! I think Sonlight will be her favorite though since she is somewhat of a history buff :) She is really liking the books so far she has to read with this. We switched her math this year. She has used Saxon math since the 1st grade but last year really did her in. So, we are trying Bob Jones this year with her hoping it will be a good fit. I will list what all she is using since I have not yet figured out how to add a list in my side bar.....yes, I am blogger challenged until further notice LOL!
* Sonlight Core Alt 6- history, reading, poetry, Bible, writing
* Apologia General Science (with companion CD)
* Easy Grammar Plus
* Bob Jones math 7
* Bob Jones spelling 6 (this is her weak spot)

We are very pleased with our decision to use Sonlight this year with her!

This is Kayla with her first reader she will read this year. She is really liking this particular book so far!! ( as you can see in the picture she is somewhat of a "ham" in front of the camera LOL)
